Bob Gower joined United Memories in 1990 and currently
serves as UMI's President. Bob started his professional
career at Texas Instruments in 1961. For the next 21 years
he worked at TI in a number of engineering and business
related positions. Bob then moved to Colorado to work for
INMOS Corporation as an Operations Manager. He was
President of INMOS from 1987 to 1990 before joining UMI.
Bob received his BSEE from Tennessee Technological
University and his MSEE from SMU.
John Heightley is the Executive Vice President and Chief
Technical Officer for United Memories. From 1962 to 1978
John was involved in various integrated circuit design
positions at AT&T Bell Laboratories. John then assumed a
Vice President position at INMOS Corporation responsible
for memory design. He later became President and Chief
Operation Officer at INMOS. After leaving INMOS, John was
President and CEO for Ramtron Corporation, Gigabit Logic,
Inc., and Adaptive Solutions, Inc. John received his BS in
Eng. Sci. from Penn State University and his MSEE from M.I.T. He
holds 33 patents.
United Memories has 26 employees with technical degrees
and backgrounds. Combined this group has 615 man-years of
semiconductor industry experience and generated 290 patents.
Eleven of the engineers hold advanced college degrees.
